MG TD TF 1500 - Blatant advertisement. I.E. upgrades

In the area of engine up grades, A camshaft is the first & most important up grade. I am now taking deposits for my next production run of Roller lifter XPAG / XPEG camshaft kits.

Well, yeah, unless the old ones are in such nice shape that you just can't imagine not putting them back in. Mine were... but then Len, you're always telling me to change the spring rates of my front suspension springs too.

But honestly, your parts are another upgrade that I want if I ever take my engine down again.

I really enjoyed meeting you your family and the dog at the GOF in Ohio!

Dave, I am with you . this is something I have wanted since they were put on the net. Right now I have to live without it but I can always dream.

Len's cam is a really good one - I can vouch for his craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and attention to detail.

Dan,

I saw your car equipped with the roller bearing cam a couple of years ago at the Cape May GoF - It would hardly run or ran very very rough. You said you were still tweaking it. I am finishng a 5 year restoration on TF and opted not to get the roller after hearing it run - I think it was on your TD. Was that a temporary problem or did you ever get it fixed?

I'm going to install one with his next production run. I drive mine a lot and got nothing but positive feedback from the folks who I emailed that had purchased a kit. Mine should be up and running round February / March assuming I get all the parts in time. The build will be billit crank with MGB spec rod journals, Sains floating gudgen pin rods and J+E pistons to match, lightened race flywheel with cortina clutch, and len's cam. I will be certain to report back.

Alex

PS: Len tell me how much...

Little T's cam, tappets, push rods and springs need replaced so for just a little bit more money I can install on of Len's kits so that is the route I am going.

May as well use this thread for my blatant advert....

A club member's wife ordered a wheel for his birthday to replace a wood rimmed one he did a few years ago.... turns out he wants to rebuild his so I returned her money and got the wheel back.....

It has a reserve of $300.00 on it...same as from the website...
