MG TD TF 1500 - BUCKET SEATS FOR TD

Has anybody installed bucket seats in an MG-TD and if so what car did they come from?
Or does anybody have an old set that I can rebuild.

I saw a set of early Sprite seats in a TD once and they looked like that is the way the factory should have made TDs.

Here's a picture of my TD vintage racer project with early Sprite seats. I plan to recover them to better match the TD type seat covers eventually.

The first mg td/C had bucket seats very much like the ones in your car. But the production TD/C's had regular bench seats. Just recently saw a picture of the factory brochure which mentioned the buckets seats.

Our TD has bucket seats from an MGA Coupe. They fit well, provide support and have the advantage that the backrests fold forward making stowage easy.
