MG TD TF 1500 - Fall photos anyone?

It's fall where I live and the views are incredible. I'ld personally like to see some shots of where you and your T car live. Maybe we can compile a little gallery here.
Here's a few I just took. This is our little town...

100 degrees in North Texas today! Everything is either brown or burned from the wildfires.

Nice pics though! We'll take some of your cool weather and beautiful backdrops.
Kevin O Martin

Not from this year but last since won't be doing a fall foliage run in the T this year (out of commission for a while). Up by Mt Evans

R Biallas

Ed,

I'll snap one by Puget Sound when I get my T up here next weekend (not this). I'll be terrorizing the neighborhood (albeit a bit more local than usual) with her back up and running. Photos will be for sure.

My favourite photo.... a friend coming home from a GOF somewhere in the states...his wife jumped out and took the photo...used it on the cover of our news letter....

gblawson(gordon- TD27667)

A bit too early for Fall foliage here in northern CT, Actually, from all of the rain we have had, it looks like the season might be on the ugly brown side! This is form a past gathering,, A bottle of Champagne in an MG Pumpkin ice cooler always helps!!

Kevin, which part of North Texas?

Looks like I jumped the gun a little! We've already had snow dusting on the peaks.

Love the high country in the fall, Ed. Need to get up to your part of the world one day. Have had a drought here for the last 4 months so color may be minimal-we shall see. Got this pic last week-still summery here. Dan

Not this fall, and not a TD, but here is a shot from the California wine country.

Very nice photos guys I'll take one of my TD when I get back from Hershey.

Post card shots all of them.

Thanks guys, keep them coming!

I'd send some from Central Texas, but we're lacking in color right now ... unless you think brown is a color ....

We call it Autumn here in England. It is when the rain gets a little cooler! The trees are still green and start to turn this month. Here is a shot, taken between showers, of “Patsy Two” with a bit of greenery.

Take a look at Tom Lange's Pimpmobile thread to see that one guy on this planet loves the colour brown so much he painted his TD with two tones of it!

Beautiful shot Steve,
about 10 years ago I rode motorcycles with family and friends from here at Ky. to the Oregon coast. We traveled along the coast to San Francisco; from there is was over to Reno but I made a side trip over to Glen Ellen to visit Jack London's rance and see the ruins of Wolf House. It looked exactly like your picture, awesome place.
Richard Taylor TD3983

Mike, very funny!

Brown looks better on a car than on our parched grasses, I can assure you! Some stuff is so dry that it feels like that excelsior packaging material from years gone.

I kind of like the two tone scheme. If the brown on that "pimpmobile"were darker, it would be closer to the old "Cream Crackers" theme that one pre-war factory team had on their cars.

Our T Register chapter took its fall color drive today. A bit early for this year. We had pleantiful moisture early, and cooler weather since July, so we are pretty much expecting a banner color year in Minnesota.

Diane and I lead the fall color tour for the Minnesota MG Group (the chapter for NAMGBR and NAMGAR) in two weeks. The area we are driving is supposed to peak then.

A shot from out tour today. So far only the sumac and a few trees are turning.

warmly,
dave

Beautiful, Dave!

Nice landscape and a GREAT queue of T ttypes! The sound must have been musical!

After looking at all the great colour photos, I realized what we do miss living here on the island. This (drab) photo could have been taken at any time of the year - it never changes much!! Having said that, it's off next Saturday to Northern Ireland, for rain, rain and .... wind... but also some tremendous autumn scenes. ... Chris

Chris Malcolm (TD 29228)

Not really Autumn yet here in Holland.
We have more of an "Indian Summer" with temperatures of 20plus Centigrade !!!
Took the TD out for a spin today and afterwards made this photo on our drive with its Wolseley Six Eighty stablemate...

Autumn in Oslo, early november last year, a cold morning it was..

Jan Kristoffersen

Our summer was quite disappointing but after half september, we got our summerexperience. Also yesterday when our club gathered to make a beautiful ride through a very sunny and warm scenery. Leafs are falling down but still lots of green up there.

Huib Bruijstens

...and of course enjoying the now complete TD. Interior, hood, sidescreens, its all there and the first 1000 miles were very exciting and really nice. Greetings, Huib

This is not a fall picture but one of our "Ride to Reno" in early June of this year. The picture was taken while Rod Murray and I were still in the Canadian Rockies. The variety of scenery we passed though on the trip was amazing. The whole trip was a great experience, but I have to say that the MG was the hero of the trip.

Here is my fall picture taken today. It doesn't look fall here, but it smells like it. I got out for a quick ride today before the rain started. I picked up my little girl from school, just long enough to heat up the oil for the cars first oil change since the rebuild. I hope I get a nice dry fall day here so I can send in a nice picture.

Wonderful photos! Can I encourage you to take a second to add your pics to the T-Database at http://ttypes.org/database ? Alternatively, I can do it on your behalf - I just need your chassis number and permission to upload the photo.

Thanks,

Ok, so this one is more than a few years old (probably 20), but this is pretty much what it is starting to look like around here.

Hi All:
One of my favourite pix of our TF. Fall colours are not great but I like the look of it lurking in the bush . . . kind of ready to pounce on some unsuspecting Triumph that wanders into its path.

It’s been a balmy fall day in northern Manitoba. It may have been the last run this year. I changed the oil today to get it ready to hibernate. Snow is just around the corner!
Cheers.

There's no fall color in the shot, but it's been 1.5 years off the road. Today was the first day back. Couldn't wait for the trees to change!

With summer-like temps in the 70's and 80's in Wisconsin and clear blue skies my wife and I took our TD for a 100 mile drive past Road America, to Elkhart Lake, along a portion of the original 1950's Elkhart Lake Road Course, and through the Kettle Moraine hill country and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! The fall colors were spectacular and although there were plenty of others out driving the twists and turns and scenery made it all worthwhile. We met one other TD and one TF along the way.

Mike

M Marini

Wow Mike! That's awsome. I remember in the old days ('67) driving my new B from home in St. Louis to the Road America 500. We camped out next to the cars and ate a lot of brats and beer. Fond memories...
efh Haskell

Really nice shot, Mike. I remember running that route when we were up for the GOF a couple of years ago. Was our first time in your area- nice country and a great event. Dan

Heres a picture of me chasing down a couple of TC's on the MG T register Autumn weekend in the Yorkshire dales. In all 49 T Types attended, over 200 miles with no failures, a great weekend was had by all.

Chris...Oh to be able to drive a few 'C' roads in the TD..... our narrowest road is two lane with shoulders....just isn't the same!
gblawson(gordon- TD27667)

My drive up north last weekend put me through some beautiful 'leaves' and into an area that was pretty well finished...however still some colour.
I visited my Grandfather's Mill on the Sauble River in Ontario and did a little video for my family, some of whom haven't been up in years...its pretty static and about 5 minutes of driving on an old road to the Mill... really meant to remind them of the area....anyway....

So here's one a little further away from home (and a little clearer than my earlier one). This is at a park on Puget Sound near the Ballard neighborhood (a haunt of mine in the MG). Got out and about today for about 4 hours running errands and pressing the flesh. Pretty fun to have the gal back on the road. She draws quite a crowd.

The sailboats in the background were just about to start their starting sequence for the race. I stuck around long enough to watch a few tacks before they were too far out to really see what they were up to. A sunny fall day in Seattle is hard to beat!

Gordon, great video! How is the camera mounted to keep it so steady?

Went out with the club for a picnic on the Blue Ridge Parkway. My TD was home in the garage awaiting new steering boots so I took me Healey. Here is a photo of the car and the next post are some of the club cars.

Here are some of the cars from our club that went on the Parkway. Notice the red TF behind the trees

As a follow up to the picture I took on October 10th I've attached one I took today. The snow is here! Gotta love the north. Steve that sea plane is just down the road from the first picture...and an actual sea plane base just past that. Tim

Tim Mayor

Tim...you guys in Manitoba spoil all the fun....

Covered bridge a few miles from my house. Leaves are still green!

RK Rich

Ahhh... covered bridges....this from our Fall GooF in Elora Ontario, the last covered bridge in Ontario... a few miles into our tour.....

gblawson(gordon- TD27667)

RK Rich: nice image, but too dark. Will you let me lighten it up?
Raymond Wardenaer

Sure Raymond, do what you wish with the photo. It was taken in the evening.

Very good job with lightening the photo of RK Rich's TD. I might have to hire you to work on my photos

Mort 1950 TD Möbius

Hahaha....got updates from my nephew in Maryland this morning...you guys did get it didn't you? (and i hate it when there is snow and leaves together.....)
gblawson(gordon- TD27667)

Raymond,

Just curious...but how do you separate/copy a pic from a thread?

Jasper
Jasper L Nederhoed

Jasper, right click on the image. One of the options should be ...save image .... The name assigned has a verrry long title. Just edit the file name to something more recognizable. Hopefully, your browser will behave this way. I'm using Firefox. Good luck. Bud

Bob,

Always wondered how they did this...now I know it's a piece of cake. This opens a new world to me...
Thanks again!

gblawson(gordon- TD27667)

You have to watch Gordon!
I still laugh about the thread he had going a few years ago getting us to send him pix of our cars.
If you looked close his TD was there in most of them...parked down the road or sitting in a driveway a few houses away.
The "old" factory photo was a hoot also ...bunch of TA's, and one little TD with a checkerboard grill hidding in them.
David Sheward

....that was great fun wasn't it.....

gblawson(gordon- TD27667)

Lovely sunny day yesterday here in England, so if you would like to see what driving on the back roads of Lancashire in the autumn looks like visit

Mike Sutton

Great vid Mike! Was that you driving or "dad"?
efh Haskell

Thanks Ed. The driver is both me and "Dad" as my daughter Niki took the video on her i-phone.
Mike Sutton

What a great video...made me want to fire up the TD and bolt the camera on the mount...ahh...next spring I guess.....
(your camera has great sound...I tend to get a lot of wind noise if I stick it above the windshield....)
gblawson(gordon- TD27667)

Mike Sutton

Mike,

Thanks for sharing your delightful video. As development spreads, there are fewer and fewer opportunities near Memphis for these kinds of experiences.
