MG TD TF 1500 - FRX 942 at Silverstone

Hi all,

This picture was taken on Aug 26th 1950 and shows George Phillips (No 20) leading Dick Jacobs in the "Daily Express" 1 hour production car race.

Interesting - you did not have to ware a helmet back then and black tape on the headlights

Hard helmets did not become compulsory till 1953.

FRX 942 was new at that time having been first registered on 31 July 1950.
