MG TD TF 1500 - Gearbox Cover Mounting Fasteners/ Pedal boxPad

I have what I thought were 2 simple questions that I have spent hours researching and I can't come up with an answer. So here are my questions (for a 1954 mgtf 1500 LHD):
1. What kind of fasteners are used to mount the gearbox cover to the 4 captive nuts in the firewall/foot panel?
Are they the pointed Philips head BSF screws with finish washers?
2. The rubber pad that fits betwen the top of the pedal box and the bottom of the floorboard has 2 holes in it that correspond to the captive nuts found on the top front and top rear of the pedal box. It's obvious the front captive nut is usd to mount the front of the floorboard. What goes in the rear captive nut? It looks like it should also be used to mount the floorboard but here is no hole in the floorboard I removed and I'm sure this is an original flooboard.
Thanks,
