MG TD TF 1500 - Hagerty's Fall 2008 cover shot

Has anyone seen the cover shot of Hagerty Insurance's fall 2008 magazine cover? For those who don't have Hagerty insurance, it's a full color shot of a green TD with yellow grill slats in full race leading the pack in a vintage race somewhere. I'm attempting to get a reprint for my garage from the publisher. If anyone else wants the contact, let me know.

That's wierd...Hagerty doesn't insure race cars to my knowledge and their price for modified T-Series cars is pretty high.

They do insure race cars, but just not when they're being raced. I pay about $150/year for a '50 TD. Thought it was pretty reasonable.

Sure I would like a copy if not too much $. George

Hmmm, did you tell them your car was modified? I did since I wanted an agreed value policy and the photos wouldn't lie, told them it was not going to be raced (not exactly true) and they came back with a price of over $400 a year. My unmodified car was insured at the price you're paying.

I don't know if we want to turn this into an insurance comparison thread, but for years I used Condon & Skelly, and was pretty satisfied. I stopped insuring the car when the engine was out of it, because my household insurance covers car parts. Once I reinstalled my engine, I insured it under my regular comprehensive policy (no liability) for about half the projected final value. That way if someone stole the chassis with the engine, or I had a fire, that would be covered. The rest of the parts were still inusured under my homeowners. Finally, I put the car temporarily under my regular policy for an agreed upon value (just about 10 days worth) while I organized the pictures and submittal for my collectors policy. My agent recommended Haggerty. She is a street rodder and uses them. Once I submitted the pictures, approval at my agreed value was in 24 hours by email, including the required proof of insurance card and all the policy documents in PDF.

I'm paying $264 per year for $25K and 3K miles. It includes 50/50 pleasure use and club use. I have not modified the car short of the slightly higher rear end, which makes me safer on the highway as I can keep up. $24 of that is their Haggerty club which includes minor towing. AAA is my main towing coverage.

My car is not the race car. Next lifetime maybe...it's stock.
George, email me off line and I'll send you a pix.

Gentlemen:

I currently vintage race a 1950 mg td, have it insured thru Heacock, and pay a flat $250 per year premium. Their "STP" policy covers Storage, Towing, and Paddock, and the policy is an agreed value policy.

If I could get a copy of the pic, I think I can figure out who the owner/driver might be... by the race number.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff,
Does that $250 cover normal driving, i.e., not racing? And if you don't mind...what is the agreed value? Hagerty charged me roughly $150 for $20K.
