MG TD TF 1500 - headlights directionals

Directionals work fine until I put the headlights on..then they do not work until I shut the headlights off??

I assume by directionals you mean the flashing indicators.

You don't say if you have an original set up using the Lucas relay or have fitted aftermarket individual flashing lamps.

Sounds like a short or earthing problem to me. Strip down, and out with the wire wool and petroleum jelly, but dont rub too hard, tends to take the skin off..... AB
