MG TD TF 1500 - Hello

I am new to the bbs, thought I would say hello. I have a 1952 TD currently in pieces. It is a mark2. Two fuel pumps, bigger valves, Andrex shocks all around and td/c on nameplate.

Glad to have you here - a LOT of great informationm in the archives.

I know a little bit about Mark II cars, so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Thought I would show you the car.

Did you see the red Mark II on eBay right now? Replacement engine, but looks good otherwise.

Sorry if the pictures are duplicate or sideways. First time at one of these. Followed you guys for a while now "in the shadows" so to speak

Mine has fresh green paint though you can't see it, that is why it is in pieces. Carbs were rebuilt by a carb guy, I added the missing second fuel pump and have new fuel line to replace the one PO removed. Car was running but had a little fire due to stuck float and very short overflow pipes (1 inch). Almost had car running again when my wife said why don't you paint it. Never miss the opportunity when it arises.

Tom is a bit modest EL. He is our resident expert on TD II's. He can help with any of the unique things on the TD II.

What part of California are you in? I am in Northern above Sacramento. A number of others on this web from CA.

PS. My name is Bruce Cunha. For some reason, the server is only putting a number in for my name.

As for painting. You know how important it is that we agree with our wives. I have one that thought our MGB GT would look nice in chrome spokes. I looked her in the eye and said "Yes Dear"
Bruce

Hi Bruce, I am in Southern California just north of Los Angeles.
Eric Brown

Eric, I'm north of LA also. There are many TD owners in the area. Feel free to contact me off-list if you need anything. mgnuts.com

I used to belong to the California T-Register in LA. Look them up!

I don't think the CA T-Register has existed for many years. The active early MG club in the area now is Vintage MG Club of Southern California http://www.vintagemg.com
