MG TD TF 1500 - High pressure fuel pump

Gentlemen; I recall a brief discussion about a high pressure fuel pump for some TF's and MGA's in which someone wished to find the info tag from the same. Found one laid back in my fuel pump bin-still attached to a long body pump. Can't remember who needed it-haven't found the thread in the archives-anyone recall? Dave D? Posted a pic w/ regular pump for reference. Dan Craig

Hello group. I hope you don't think this request is anal, but I've been looking for this part for over twenty years. On the TF fuel pump only, there is a little tin ID tag (2" x 1" approx) that states the pump is high pressure. Due to it's location and the fact that it is tin not brass, they rusted away or were removed when a pump was replaced. This is a detail item only and I would be happy to buy it or better yet, I would like to reproduce them and offer to others that may have an interest. No doubt, most TF owners don't know they even existed which is making it even more difficult to find. Any help with this matter would be to everyone's advantage. Thank you in advance. Harvey

Bud - I have a drawing done by Paul Prop of the tag that I can send to you for possible reproduction. A possible place to get the lettering stamped into the tag would be Clarke Spares & Restoration at: http://www.clarkespares.com/ The edges of the tag are rolled back and flattened to stiffen the tag (kind of like the old dog tags used in the armed forces. I don't know if I scanned the drawing that Paul sent to me and we are on a cruise to Alaska at present, but I will get back to you if I have it on my flash drive and if not, will scan it and send it to you when we get back. Cheers - Dave
