MG TD TF 1500 - Judson Supercharger Guru review

I sent my MG 26 Judson Supercharger to the Judson Supercharger Guru (George Fulchi) for a complete rebuild. It came back looking like a NOS item. I did have one issue that I thought needed attention. George told me to send it back and he quickly took care of the issue free of charge. I've been pestering him with questions and he responds quickly and is very patient with my inquiries. He told me that he has a complete MG 26 Judson SC on the shelf ready to go if anyone is interested. I'm very happy with my dealings with George and would recommend him to anyone wishing to buy or refurbish a Judson Supercharger. His website is http://www.judsonguru.com/

I have no financial interest in Mr. Fulchi's business or products.

Thanks for the heads up Tim.

George has always been a great supplier & supporter of the hobby. He's also helped me with the Judson on my Morris. Like Joe Curto and a few others, he's an important person who is keeping the hobby alive. I loathe the day when all the guys like these two are are gone. Sigh....

(BTW, it's 'Folchi' not 'Fulchi'... added this to ensure future searches get this post.)

Kevin, thanks for the correction. Wish I could edit the post. At least I got the website correct.

When I put a Judson on mine, George was the man I went to. I really enjoyed talking to him and getting tips on my supercharge. Make sure you have a good crank on your car and watch for the heat buildup.

TRM, unfortunately, after a rebuild, there is no way of knowing when you no longer have a good crank on your car. But I get your point. Do you have any pictures of how you mounted the air filter and horn with the SC?

used a flat air filter and just moved the horn to where it would fit.

TRM, that's what I finally did. Not happy with the "Horn of Plenty" facing skyward (as in plenty of water getting in). But that was the only way it would fit. The starter wires are not touching the air filter, just the angle of the picture.

You will love that Supercharger, my engine blew due to a bad crank, I rebuilt the engine to be able to handle the SC, but had to sell the charger to pay for the complete rebuild. While it was on there it was a blast, pull up to an A and blow them out. Happened at GOF Central in 06.

Looking forward to it. It will be interesting to compare the performance of the 53 TD with the SC to my 51 with a roller cam.
