MG TD TF 1500 - Lamp bracket

Are the TD headlamp brackets cast iron or steel.
A friends brackets are bent pushing the wings out and down.
I do not want to risk snapping if I try to straighten them..

Yea, and the wings brake off easily. I did have a broken wing repaired by brazing. It held up very well.

I checked the brackets against 3 other cars and the are not bent.
The wings have either been replaced or repaired and drilled incorrectly.
We nave a good panel man who can fix this.
