MG TD TF 1500 - master cyliner removal

any "wise" information on removal of the master cylinder? CAn i leave the fork attached to the brake pedal? Looks like a pain to get the clevis pin out.
M Morgan

I took a couple of photos of an MC from my spares. I can't see why it wouldn't be possible but getting the rubber sleeve back on might be difficult. Others will chime in, I'm sure.

...leave the rod and rubber in place...remove the two bolts...remove the line...pull the mc rearwards....its out!

thanks to all for the responses. Not sure i have a MC problem, but after replacing all 6 wheel cylinders can't seem to get any brake after a LOT of bleeding. I plan to give another try at bleeding first.

M. Morgan,
I had a similar problem, poor brake pedal after bleeding.
I found that once I adjusted the brakes properly, tighten to the max and back off one click on all 4 wheels, the pedal was perfect.

M,
I think a bit more history would be helpful in determining the pedal problem,,, why did you replace all of the wheel cylinders? Was there a decent pedal before the cylinder replacement?
