MG TD TF 1500 - MEMORIAL DAY RUN.
Greetings. Following the Memorial Day Ceremony at The Lone Tree Ceremony in Hayward, Calif where I spoke to 2000 attendees, I dashed off for some country lanes in the Black Beauty--My '50 TD. It was time for some fresh air and some low hanging sun... In the US of A, it's Memorial Day, I offer gratitude to and for the Veterans for the sacrifice and price they have paid for the Freedoms I cherish. All Gave Some. Some Gave All. Rev Dr C. Rougeux Chaplain Emeritus Dept Veterans Affairs. Palo Alto, Calif. |

Bob, From a 40+ year veteran, I guess it wasn't you I captured with the aircraft arresting cable on the runway in Guam in 1967. Nearly lost the pilot of that F4 due to malfunction and was one p.o. pilot. Loved the Phantom and watched them train at Davis-Monthan when I was in the Titan Missele program. One of the silos that I worked in is now a MUSEUM! Many thanks to all that served! Bob, Staff Sgt. U.S.A.F. R.L.F.,Captain, U.S.NAVY (father) J.A.F., Airman U.S.A.F. (brother),He got busted down to a lower rank for things you shouldn't do when in the service. |

From a simple Spec 4 in Special Forces with no greater action than cruising Germany in my '61 Sprite for a few years, my thanks for your greater service. |
