MG TD TF 1500 - MG-TD-1/43 scale

I am making a memorial trophy for our clubs founder. SUNCOAST CLASSIC MG CLUB.of Florida Col. Robert (BOB) Sumner passed away last month and I have the job of creating a club trophy in his honor. He was MG all the way with 2-td's and 1 MGB-GT.
In my posession is a 14" high bronze eagle that was his. I intend to use two models of MG on the base portion. I already have one MGB-GT in burgundy and am looking for a 1/43 scale MG-TD preferably in red as were his two TD's. Our club is willing to pay a reasonable price but a donation would be fantastic. I can furnish a photo of the present bird and MGB-GT if wanted.

Don't know about the size, but try this. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=782&item=6933154637&rd=1,

Scale model TDs are hard to find. You might try a Hubley or Dinky model on eBay. You can repaint it to match.

Try Roy Jacobson of the T-Register. He does ebay as Queensquarters. Aside from the mg spares he offers, he also does Dinky toys and such.

The pewter MG TD that I told you about is 4" long. I just got that answer and the auction ends 19.8 hours from now (currently at $15.50).

Steve,

If you are interested in the K&R MG models I have a few I will sell at dealer cost. The web site in the above link doesen't do the model justice. Let me know and I will send you a list of what I have left.

I concur, having just received a TF kit from K&R Models. The qualitiy and detail is very impressive, far superior to the white metal kits of Steam Locomotives I used to build in the past.
