MG TD TF 1500 - MG TD Model
Currently on travels in Paris and I've run into a mg td model in a flea market. It is a very good replica measuring about 12- 14 inches long (so is quite big) with rubber wheels and a fair bit of detail (MG logo on the rad). It is in what I would term vey good condition. My question is, does it have any great value? - should I go back for it next week? I have a couple of the smaller ones (both metal and plastic) but this is the irst time I've run into one of these. All advice welcome!!. .... Chris |

chris, i am not sure who produced the model you saw, but it sounds like a doepke. if you are not familiar, i believe those are a period produced model. ones in nice condition sell for what i consider big prices on ebay. if you type "doepke model car" in your search engine there is info available. right now there is an auction that does not close until august that has a doepke MG TD with original box already bid to $110. this is more than a month from the close of the auction! there are guys on here who collect them and i am sure will post some good info for you. regards, om |

Chris, A Doepke is 15 1/2 in long bumper to bumper and has steerable front wheels. If it is in good condition it is worth at least up to $300USD. Cheers, Jim |

Thanks everybody. I had a bit of a look around on ebay and yes, that's what it is. I may just wonder back and have another look. .... Chris |
