MG TD TF 1500 - MG TD Running Boards
I am just starting to restore a 52 mg td. I removed the running boards and have noticed that they have a slight bow/curve to them. One more so than the other(right side-drivers). Are they suppose to be perfectly straight? I'd hate to complete bodywork/metal work to straighten them only to find out that they are suppose to have a slight bow/curve. I am thinking that the drivers is more bowed than the passangers side due to people stepping on it more often. |

They definately have a slight bow/curve to them. When you install new running board strips you have to very slightly bend them so they will confirm to the running boards shape. |

"I am thinking that the drivers is more bowed than the passangers side due to people stepping on it more often." If anyone steps on them, a sharp rap on the shin and a forceful NO! generally cures that bad habit ;-) Cheers - Dave |

Don't think I have ever actually used or seen them used! |
