MG TD TF 1500 - MG with a Trailer for two ?

In 1947 there was published an artikel in the magazine Mechanix and there was discribed how to build a Trailer for two.

I'm wonder if anybody build this trailer for an mg td and how he attached the coupling to the TD.
Any Informations ?

Guenter - That trailer was eventually produced commercially and marked under the name Teardrop. It has recently been reintroduced here in the US. Built as per the plans in the Popular Mechanics, it would have been way to heavy to tow behind a TD. Cheers - Dave

Guenter. Look into trailers for motorcycles. They usually are fibreglass and have a folding tent top.

In the sixties we towed a boat trailer with my brother's MGA... took off the bumper...cut a piece of angle iron the same width...drilled three holes... two for the bumper bolts to the frame and one for the trailer hitch...voila... done!
