MG TD TF 1500 - MGTD in movies database
I'm sure this is old news, but this website has researched every car known to man and every appearance in movies, internationally.... old news, but still kinda neat. http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_71253-MG-TD-1950.html Sid |

WOW Talk about people with WAY to much time on thier hands. To do this site, someone had to watch each movie and stop the tape/cd at each frame when there is a car in the shot. Take a picture of it and then identify the car. I typed in Love Bug to see the cars in that movie. That took some time to do. |

That site keeps getting bigger... nice thing about the net... takes one person a lifetime, but a few hundred thousand people not so long to build it up? Good thing there are no 'obsessive' members on here? ![]() |

VIRUS WARNING!!! I clicked on the link from Sid Orr above. It took me to another site. There was a post from gblawson on the bottom of that site with a link to something in it-a movie clip I think. I clicked that link. My computer then attempted to install something from MS Office 2000!! I had to click cancel 3 times to abort it. I then closed that window and there was some sort of obvious VIRUS window open! I quickly closed that as well, but it was obviously up to no good! (Yes, I use a virus scanner and it did nothing!) Gordon, you might want to check this out, but be carefull!! Ed |

'Obsessive'? Like someone who would caption 1,914 photos on a photosite about a single car?

OK, so now I guess I can come clean - I have collected most of the films listed on that site as well as quite a few others (including some very old B&W newsreel stuff). My latest addition was a 1950's Brazilian movie, not available on dvd or tape formats which a motor fan in Brazil copied from the late night tv. Have never met the fellow and he refused payment - just goes to show that some people are just plain nice, I guess. He also included some old Brazilian gran prix photos from his collection. My original thought when I started out on this was to build a library of mg td film and tv clips to share with other owners - to sort of do my bit to preserve the history. I suppose though that I do have some copyright problems, even if I was to give away copies. Anyway, obsessive? hmmmm... |
