MG TD TF 1500 - negative ground ?
does any one have a 12v negative ground conversion wiring diagram?
Nate - all you have to do is to revers the connections to the battery, the ammeter and the coil. Then polarize the generator for a positive output. To polarize the generator, connect a 12 gauge jumper wire to the field (small)terminal of the generator. Quickly touch the other end of the jumper wire to the positive terminal of the battery two or three times (wire should be touched to the battery terminal just long enough to produce a spark). Disconnect the jumper wire from the generator and reconnect the original wires to their respective terminals and you are done. Cheers - Dave
Only thing to watch out for is any solid state devices your car may have, such as a pertronix ignition. They won't work hooked up backwards, and probably never will ever again!
