MG TD TF 1500 - New videos - soon
I am on my way home from this years long trip in my TD. When I am home it will be more than 2400 kilometers! From Oslo to Bodø north of the Polar Circle, and ferry to the outermost island in Lofoten, Røst (hey, look it up in you atlas, folks). I took a roundtrip on this fascinating island with the video camera mounted. I shell work on it when I am home, and give you a hint. Meanwhile, here is an image from todays leg, parked in front of the glacier, Svartisen. Please excuse that boat. ![]() |

Ray, Your car is nearly an identical twin to mine. Color, top and interior. Little flag on the hood is the only visible difference |

You are tough Raymond ! And the route you picked is scenic most of the way. Several mountain passes, either Dovre or Kvikne and then Saltfjellet and Korgfjellet (if you didn't go by tunnel through Korgfjellet) I really look forward to see your new videos. I wonder if Grieg would be the best music for The Roest drive about ? For ex morgenstemning or Solveigs sang? Regards Jan |

Great picture. I hope you managed to get the car away safely before that tidal wave coming down the mountain hit you! AJ |

AJ, I think that tidal wave is receding not advancing. ;) |

Dear friends. I have written a blogpost every day from my trip in the mg td to the north. About the car: the engine ran effortless and perfect. I only had to top the oil once, and remember I drove over 2500 kilometers! I think that oil system earlier this year made a difference. Main problem now is the door on the drivers side. I pops open, only a bit, so it will stay like that, letting much air in. I shut it again and again, but it opens a bit in a few minutes. Something to look closer into when I get home. Se my travel blog here (all in my bad English): http://osloray.wordpress.com/2012/06/26/travel-story-2012-day-1/ |

Raymond, Excellent blog. I enjoyed it very much. As always your photographs are well done. The geography in your photos and descriptions reminds me of our travels throughout northwest Canada and Alaska. We traveled there for a few months in a motor home. Thank you, Mort |

Mort, a motorhome for such travels would great. But traveling in the old MG is not bad either, and we stayed in hotels on the way. I am considering getting an MGB GT also, at least I can lock the doors on that. Maybe the GT for long tours and the TD locally around Oslo? |
