Ahaaa, brings back fond memories! Why in the world did I ever sell my '67 B back in '70? Because I was a stupid young fool! What I miss most was that torque that 4-banger put out. I can feel it as you go through the gears. The TD just doesn't have it....sigh. But I guess I'll keep it anyway. Out the door now for SM via GJ.... |

B have overdrive? Thought I heard a 4th gear change.Dan |

You got good ears for an old guy Dan. Hows the motor sound to you? |

The B motor sounded really good, BUT I liked the sound of the TF better. George Raham |

Loose exhaust rocker on #3 cylinder. Might wanna check the right rear wheel bearing. Kinda hard to tell with that cheapie camera. Dan |

Hey Laverne, Sounds great. These cars have a definite "voice". There was a rumor that the engineers at Mazda tried to emulate the exhaust note of the B when designing the origional Miata. I used to love the sound of my old B's-especially when accelerating under a bridge with the top down (when there was NO snow on the ground). I also heard you drop into overdrive. It sounds like you ran it out pretty good in third-better keep an eye out for "the man"!! |

Think it's the muffler bearing Dan? Stupid speed Steve. I don't normally excede the speed limit when driving. But ran the B and the TF up around the 80 mph or so on these runs. Stupid on my part and if I sould get a ticket I'll keep my yap shut cause I deserve it. Never had one (knock on wood). |
