MG TD TF 1500 - Rustoleum 7777 beats brake fluid

In the past month I've done an awful lot of messing around with master cylinders and brakes. It just dawned on me that the Rustoleum 7777 paint hasn't been messed a bit by the Castrol GTLMA brake fluid that I've been spilling and splattering all over the place. Just thought I'd let you know. Bud

Rustoleum 7777 is the color code for Satin Black. You can get it in Rattle cans, or by the pint/quart and mix some acetone (up to 15% by weight) and spray it conventionally. Gloss black is too bright for my tastes, so almost everything that is black on my TD is done in 7777. Rustoleum is almost self healing in its composition, and resists scratching while not being brittle. See my website, http://www.dbraun99.com

Spray can or brush, Rustoleum "Satin Black" enamel, No. V-7777 Usually available at Wally World etc.
I've used it a lot for shortwave radio cabinets. I'm surprised that it stands up to brake fluid, seems like I've heard that some folks use brake fluid for paint remover on tough stuff. Maybe the question is, "what's Castrol GTLMA?"

For the Brits who read this, I painted my chassis in Rustoleum Combicolour which seems to be Rustoleum's standard offering in the UK unless you use their 2 pack products.

After filling the master cylinder and bleeding the brakes I found the chassis paint under the MS had come right off.

Anyone else had this experience.

FYI,Castrol GTLMA is an "...exceeds DOT 3/DOT 4 requirements..." brake fluid sold by Castrol. The LMA stands for Low Moisture Activity. I see on the label that its "...Not For Sale Outside of North America..." It's typically about $4 for a 12 oz. bottle. Bud

Thanks Bud,
I should have also mentioned, I painted the TF chassis & running gear last yr with V7777, after using Rustoleum primer.
