MG TD TF 1500 - Since were all old bastards
Well most of us anyway. Here is what you can expect if you live long enough. I skipped all the middle liposuction. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGxdMUmGHzE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xaj95R0aIu4 |

You know, I was thinking that some day I might do that if my eyes got bad enough. After watching your video however... no way!!! That was freaky! |
Steve S |
Think of it as restoration. Same thing we do to our beloved LBC's. Most of the time I don't even have to wear glasses. Hows that for 84 yo. Cheers, Bob |
Bob Jeffers |
Ewwww. There should have been a warning for those of us who are sqeamish... hope you're doing great, LaVerne! |
Dave Braun |
...yep, need a warning... |

I'm glad your doctor isn't the same guy in charge of making illustrations for the mg td WSM! "Now does the new lens go between the cornea and retna or visa versa, I better start a thread on the BBS and find out?" Did he apply a little silicone grease to hold it in place while stiching it in? I couldn't watch the whole thing, but I'm assuming that's your eyeball we're looking at? |

Maybe now that you have new eyeballs, it won't take so long to finish a car. Should have the A's done by spring? If you decide on a vasectomy, please don't share. It's just not our bag--groan in unison. Get well; Dan |

Dave Sheward, all this identity fraud and IT insecurity is real scary.I mean, how could anybody have got my passport photo? |

For those of you who are nearing the need for cataract surgery, please be advised that I highly recommend it. I had to have both eyes done and no one could be more sensitive (read squeamish) about the thought of having someone poke some steel into my eyes than I am. The surgeries were painless, took only a short time and the eye patch was removed the following day. I was amazed at how bright and clear everything was as soon as the patch was removed. Don't hesitate guys, if you need it, get it!!!!!!!!! |

Great point Jim I work in healthcare and am amazed by the number of folks that put off surgeries that can really improve the quality of their lives. Can't tell you how many knee replacement and hip replacement cases I have had that said their only regret was that they did not do it years earlier. |

I'm 81 , had mine (both) done about 3 years ago. I read and do just about everything without glasses. l'm now nearsighted slightly so I use them mostly when I' m driving but not always. Nothing better Sometime I have glasses on forgetting that I don't need them and struggle to see then remember that I have glasses on Ellis |
Ellis Carlton |
I can add my recent experience with the surgery - virtually painless and much improved vision the same day. You don't realize how cloudy your vision has gotten until you have the surgery. Having said that, I'm glad I didn't see the video as part of my pre-op! LaVerne - is this some kind of comment on your vision being a little cloudy regarding your newest project? |

Sorry, didn't mean to groose anybody out. Message here is if you are putting off cataract surgery, then don't. All I could see out of my left eye three weeks ago was fuzz. The video was from yesterday on my right eye. Takes about 15 minutes and you don't feel a thing. The world is much more defined now. The biggest notice right off the bat is how much more vivid colors are. Amazing how much thing were yellowed in my eyes. Left eye has better than 20-20 vision now and should continue to improve in the coming months. After seeing the MGA's with my good eye I may have to take them back...not. There will be no vasectomy video...there just isn't enough to work with! |

Wifey had 2nd eye done yesterday. She was amazed how brigt the world is after first one was done. She will not harp at me anymore to add more lights in the house. |
