MG TD TF 1500 - TD Chassis Number Spread Sheet

G'day all:

I have a list of eleven (11) TD's that I knew existed in the Vancouver, B.C., region in the early 1970's.

I also know that a spread sheet list of known TD's, by chassis numbers, exists on some web-site but I have not been able to locate its whereabouts.

I have tried the MGCC UK, and NEMGTReg. sites, but cannot seem to find links that will bring either list to the surface.

This is not a critical operation. I was just wondering if any, or all, were still this side of the breakers yard.

The present or last recorded locations would be quite useful as I have the registered owner(RO)information, vehicle descriptions (colours, equipment carried) at that time. This could be passed on to any current owner if so desired.

Has anybody out there a direct way of gaining access to such a list ? If so, would they please provide me with it ?

Respectfully:

If you haven't already done it, I suggest you also contact Colin @ Octagon Motor Group in Vancouver as he is the main contact and organizer of the Pre56 MG Unclub in Vancouver area. We all go on a "Tour" each June to various locations on Vancouver Island and there are quite a few TD's in this group. I would hazard a guess that many are not recorded on any list. If you provide your info to Colin he would be in a good position to help you. My TD, #3376, was garaged since 1976 but I am pretty sure it had a life in Kelowna prior to my ownership but it did have a University of Victoria parking decal on the windshield when I purchased it. Hope to see you on one of our events in the future.

Jack,

I have a spread sheet of about 70 T-Series here in Québec. I have submitted most of those with chassis numbers, but I never got any acknowledgements, and don't find them on the Merson list.

G'day lads:

Thank all of you for your input and to Dave DuBois for supplying the George Merson File, brilliant!

Unfortunately all the vehicle numbers, I possess, other than my own that is, do not show up on his list.

Thanks again, and cheers for now;

this one is mine...

Enter TD and list by 'chassis' number...that will give you the whole list if you don't enter a chassis number.

I combined a few lists, including Georges and many were entered by owners....

Gordon,

My car, TD 15470 appears five times on your list. Once in it's Wichita, Kansas configuration; red over black, and then in its Minneapolis configurations, red over black; and then as ivory over red (original configuration); and then just ivory over nothing, and finally ivory over red/green.

The actual car is now finished in ivory over green, and is still in Minneapolis.

What is the list supposed to represent, original configuration, or current?

warmly,
dave

I wanted each car to show up with each owner and configuration..no way to keep them in order, but thought in 20 years it might give an idea of who owned it and what it looked like....
