MG TD TF 1500 - TD Horns
On my 52 TD Both horns did not work initially due to the fuse being bad. After changing the fuse, I cleaned the contacts on both and that got the passenger side to work. The driver’s side still does not work, and I worked through most of technical manual “Hint’s from Austin’s Morris Garage” document on the driver’s side horn but still is not working. When I put on bench w/ a battery charger I can see the pin move (with not much force) but horn still not working – not even making a noise. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance Scott Cleveland

scott, there is a fellow who advertises in the sacred octagon who overhauls/exchanges these lucas horns for what i think is a very reasonable price. tom ps i know you are now bench checking the horn, i would also make sure the car has circuit continuity to the horn.

Scott - Tehre are two people who I know about that fix horns. They are: Lawrie Rhoads at www.british-car-part-restoration.com and Lew Palmer at www.roundaboutmanor.com Cheers - Dave

Scott, If you send them to Lew, I'll personally go over there and listen to them before he ships them! ;) dave
