MG TD TF 1500 - TD28929 (NEMGTR old #@) back together!

After an extensive 8 year restoration, TD 28929 (NEMGTR old #2) is back together.
The paint still needs to be wet sanded and buffed out, and there are still a few adjustments to make.
Extensive parts of the frame were replaced, as were the quarter panels, all the body tub wood and the left rear fender, the windshield, one headlight and the rear bumper bar. All of the rest of the car was rebuilt and reused.
This car is going to the NEMGTR spring GOF this week in Oneonta New York. We are also taking the green TC (TCEXU 10018 NEMGTR #400). I believe this may be the first GOF attended by both of Frank Churchill's cars.

That must be one of the last TC's? Wish I could attend.

That should bring tears to some eyes. Glad to see that #2 is back on the road. Cheers - Dave

Congratulations Dave - lovely job.

As Dave DuBois has expressed, it does indeed bring back great memories.

In the Spring of 1954, The Sports Car Club of Vermont and the Montreal MG Car Club held a joint picnic. Can't remember where, but this was Frank's first appearance with the car.

Boy, was he proud of it - red wheels and all!

Somewhere in my archives, I have some pictires of that day; of Frank with hair!

Gord, thanks for your comments. I would LOVE to see that picture, as well as hear some early history of the car. I put a lot of effort in to restoring the car as it was, red wheels, home made badge bar and all. I had all the colors computer matched and the color mixes were spot on.
