MG TD TF 1500 - TF interior colors

I have read that the only interior colors for the TF were biscuit, red and green. In looking at various picrures I have seen a large number of black interiors. Were any of the TF's originally fitted with black interiors, or is that an aftermarket color only?

Black wasn't an interior colour on the TD or TF...don't know about earlier Ts...

Hi Howard,
Gordon is spot on-TD's and TF's never had Black leather/rexine for interior colours.In Australia,and I suspect USA,there was a craze in the 1960's and early 1970's to redo the interiors in Black to "modernise" the cars after the MGA WAS released.

Production records do show 1 (one) TF as being built "White w/Black interior"! (At least according to the book I read) ...I have always wondered what happened to that "1" car!???

They tore out the black and replaced it with leopard skin....!!!!

Well said Gordon,
After the Leopard skin interior replaced the Black interior,the white panels colour was changed to TF Ivory!!!!
