MG TD TF 1500 - TF Original Headlight Rims

Here another original question. My 1954 TF I think has the original headlight rims. The outer rims have a chrome rivet on top which secures a retainin clip inside. ALL repros now do not have this, and the original literature does not get into this much detail.
Anyone know if the rivet is indeed original??

Mine has the rivet and the trim rings are original. My rivets are sort of bronze/copperish looking right now from all the years of wear. I need to get the trim rings re-chromed!

As usual, thanks everyone - I am going to have my originals replated, rather than take a chance on the repros - plus they dont come with the riveted piece.

These have the rivet. I don't think that shape of the curvature is quite right, though.
