MG TD TF 1500 - TF Seat Back Springs

I'm starting seat restoration in the TF. Got the steel frames media blasted and powder-coated. The seat back springs were completely corroded and broken. I know Moss has them at a fairly high price, but does anyone know of an alternative source?
thanks,

If you have some remnants of one of the original springs it might be of merit to trot along to a mattress manufacturer or a furniture upholster if you have them handy.

Regarding the seat cushions are you aware of this:

I have just been through the same process of rebuilding the seat assemblies on my wife's tf. I had to retimber the seats and make up springs etc. I went to a major hardware chain in Adelaide where I live and bought springs about 12 inches long, I then cut them to the required lengths and fitted them to the seats I opted to use stronger springs which has provided a lot more support across the lumbar area, this will hopefully make for a more comfortable ride as we are in our 60's and every bit of comfort is appreciated.
The springs only cost about a third of the price moss want for theirs l also made up the timber battens for the seat frames using 1/8 th inch plywood and glued it together to make up the shaped pieces, originally riveted in place but i opted to bolt them in place. I had a furniture upholsterer fit the moss leather kit as the tf seats are more like an arm chair than a car seat. He also placed extra good quality foam under the soft seat cushion foam that moss use on their wooden seat squab frames. The seats are very comfortable with very good support. Cost $650 oz dollars($900 us) for the job but I am very pleased with how they look.
