MG TD TF 1500 - TF Windshield Wiper Info needed

Gentlemen:

I have got to the stage of dismantling where I've got the pretty much everything out of the tub/body area on my 1954 mgtf. One of the last remaining items to come out/off is the Windshield wiper mechanism attached up under where the dash was. The cable goes through the two wiper mechanisms and out through the firewall where the end was just left dangling in the engine compartment by the PO.
I haven't been able to find any drawings or pictures of how this dangling end was attached to the missing motor that I see in the Moss Catalog (ouch! on the price.
Does anyone have a drawing or photos of how this is configured in the TF?
Once again thanks for the help!

Rod, I can get you a picture when I get home later today if somebody doesn't come up with one before then.

Keep a look out on ebay for the motor. They do pop up from time to time.

The wiper gable slips over a pin in the wiper motor housing.
See attached picture

Remove the aluminium cover and fin the cam pin.

Gentlemen:
Thanks for the Photos. I now see, from the size, why the replacement motor is priced the way that it is!!

The wiper seems to be a Lucas DR2 wiper motor, single speed, without self-parking device.

Yesterday, I completely dismantled a similar wiper motor from a Triumph Tr3A (Lucas DR3A mechanically identical, except for the self-parking switch), and can send to you some pictures of internal details, if you need them.

Eh,.. I just wanted to correct my last post.

MG TF wiper motors should be probably a Lucas CRT type, whereas the next evolution used in TRs or MGAs (to stay in the family) is a DR2 type.

Very detailed and useful information on how to rebuild a DR2 wiper motor can be found in the mga-guru web page.
http://www.mgaguru.com/mgtech/electric/et217.htm

The motor explained there is not identical to those in TFs, but the internals should be very similar.

The TF wiper motor is a Lucas Model CRT 75144B.
I am looking at a new old stock Wiper motor in the original box.
(Also use on the Austin Healey)
