MG TD TF 1500 - What Is This For?
One on each side of the rear housing just inside of the spring perches, arrow. They look like a factory fitting, but naturally, I don't know if that's true or what their for. PJ

| They serve no function on a TD or TF; perhaps our Y-type owners can tell us if they are used on that car? Tom |

| I think this got hashed over about 6 months ago. I think the consensus was that it was used as a tie down for transport. While all TF's had them, not all TD's did. My TF does but the 52 TD does not. |

| Those brackets for when you could get LUVAX rear shocks to stiffen up the rear suspension. I have only sen one TF1500 with Luvax shpcks fitted from new. Garth |

| They are a rotary vane type of shock used in TA/TB and earlier MG's. Tom TA/TB |
