Triumph TR6 - TR6 front shock choice

Hello,

I need to replace my TR6's front shock absorber. I am not found of buying cheapo repro nor the prohibitive Koni. Does someone has a better alternative?

Thanks,

Spax, Does KYB have them, can't tell what I put on mine . Silver with red writing.

Thank you Don,

Ichecked on KYB site and they have shocks for Spit, GT6 & TR7 only. I will investgate for Spax.

Cheers,

JGC

P.S. I found: Monroe list them as LE10084 standard non-gas shock. Less interesting...

Moss- Spax- 284.00- If you go this route buy from the retailer above. Cheaper

TRF- Konis- And you nixed these already

BPNW- Spax 228.00
Gaz-208.00

BPNW sold me a set of KYB's, Greg said they had them modified to fit a TR6, but checking their website now,w they don't list a KYB anymore. You might email them & see if they still offer the KYB.
That said, here's what they have:

Change you address?
Anyway, just to hi jack this post.
Going to Bellevue this year?
DON KELLY

To continue the hijack.......no. Our son is getting married in Portland, OR on Aug 8th. That, along with ATDI in the Tri-Cities is about all we can take thru the rest of the summer. Just got back yesterday from IBCC Summer Tour, 634 miles worth! 11 cars came down from Seattle. TR6 got 24.9 mpg...not bad.
Thinking about Triumphest 2009 in San Luis Obispo, also the VTR Nat'l meet.

Replace the dot with a . to get my email address, or call, you got the number.

hey J,
I purchased my front KYB's through the triumph guy on ebay in Idaho.
The shocks are gas and better than the originals and have more travel. I didn't write down the part number but I paid less than $100 for the pair. I purchased the rears as well (and the conversion brackets)...overall, a pretty swell deal.
